Usan crude oil will begin production in Nigeria in 2012. Usan is a medium gravity, sweet sulfur crude oil produced in deep water off the coast of Nigeria, around 100km south of Port Harcourt, approximately 62 miles offshore. It is loaded from the Total-operated Usan FPSO, which can accommodate Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) loading. The typical cargo size is one million barrels, but alternate cargo sizes can be arranged with advance planning. The minimum cargo size is 500 thousand barrels.
