The Captain field is located on the edge of the Outer Moray Firth, 68 miles north of Aberdeen and its oil is relatively acidic, heavy and viscous.
Captain produces to a Floating Production Storage Offtake Vessel (FPSO). Crude oil is exported via shuttle tankers to customers in Northwest Europe (usual cargo size 500 thousand barrels) and to Nigg for further trans-shipping.
