The Clair field is located approximately 75 km west of the Shetland Islands, in 140 meter water depth. Stabilised Clair crude is exported from the offshore platform via a dedicated 106 km pipeline to Sullom Voe on the Shetland Islands, where it is stored in two dedicated tanks. Clair crude is exported from Sullom Voe terminal as a separate stream to Brent. Clair is a heavy (23.7 API), sweet (0.44% wt.S), acidic (TAN= 1.2 mgKOH/g) crude oil.
