Chevron's interest in Ekofisk crude comes through its 19.9% stake in the Jade field in the UK sector of the Central North Sea. It is brought to market as a component of Ekofisk blend. Ekofisk blend is light, sweet, low in sulfur, nitrogen, metals, carbon residue, and asphaltenes. It is rich in gasoline. It is transported from the offshore system to Teesside terminal in the UK from where it is sold. Ekofisk pricing is usually quoted FOB Teesside.
