Chevron owns equity in 5 fields which deliver into the Forties Pipeline System. This system transports and processes oil and gas from the Central North Sea, with a nominal capacity of over one million barrels per day. It carries around 30% of the UK's oil production. Liquids from over 50 fields flow onshore by pipeline to the stabilization, separation, and processing facilities at Kinneil, Grangemouth. Forties Blend stabilized crude oil is then shipped from Hound Point on the Firth of Forth.
Chevron's assets tied into this system are the Britannia, Brodgar, Callanish, Erskine and Elgin-Franklin gas condensate fields. Chevron owns 32.4% in Britannia, 25% in Brodgar, 16.5% in Callanish, 50% in Erskine and 3.9% in Elgin-Franklin.
Forties is loaded in cargoes of approximately 600 thousand barrels each.
