Overview
Chevron owns 67% of the Strathspey field, which currently produces around 7 thousand barrels per day and is exported and sold as part of Brent crude oil. Strathspey is a large sub-sea satellite development tied back to Kerr McGee's Ninian Central platform. From here, the semi-stabilized oil is pumped ashore via pipeline to the Sullom Voe terminal in the UK Shetland Islands. Brent crude is generally priced FOB Sullom Voe. Brent is lifted as cargoes of approximately 600 thousand barrels.
