Overview
Clair is a new heavy (23.7 API), sweet (0.44% wt.S), acidic (TAN= 1.2 mgKOH/g) crude oil.
The Clair field is located approximately 75 km west of the Shetland Islands, in 140 meter water depth. It covers the area of 220 sq km. The field has been developed by a partnership of companies and is operated by BP.
