Overview
Dansk Underground Consortium (DUC) is a joint venture in which Chevron has a 15% share, with Maersk as operator.
DUC crude oil is a blend of crude oil from multiple fields, collected through 3 main fields from the Danish Sector of the North Sea. These 3 main field infrastructure centers (Dan, Gorm and Tyra) are situated approximately 200 kilometers west of Esbjerg, Denmark. The DUC blend is piped some 320 km directly to the Danish Port of Fredericia on the east coast of Jutland, Denmark. The various streams contributing to the blend have similar properties. Current total production rate is approximately 300 thousand barrels per day. Typical cargo size is 630 thousand barrels.
