Overview
Chevron's interest in Ekofisk crude comes through its 19.9% stake in the Jade field in the Norwegian sector of Central North Sea. It is brought to market as a component of Ekofisk blend. As a result, Chevron's Ekofisk entitlement is two or three 600 thousand barrels cargoes per year. Ekofisk blend is light, sweet, low in sulfur, nitrogen, metals, carbon residue, and asphaltenes. It is rich in gasoline. It is transported from the offshore system to Teesside terminal in the UK from where it is sold. Ekofisk pricing is usually quoted FOB Teesside.
