Overview
Kutubu Light is produced in the Southern Highlands of Papua New Guinea. Production is sourced from three developments: Kutubu, Gobe and Moran. The combined production from these fields averaged 69 mbd in 2000. The oil produced from each field is very similar in quality and is excellent for the production of transportation fuels especially motor gasoline. Field production is transported by pipeline to the Kumul marine terminal for export. The standard parcel size is 650 mb. Pricing is typically based off of APPI (Asian Petroleum Price Index) Tapis quotes.
